Final Project

Mymfinal project is based on whether hip-hop delivers a negative message to society.

Hip-Hop is one of the, if not the biggest genre out now. Many people think its lyrics and message influence people in a negative way, but some see it as an every day reality these people face. My project will help you understand why rappers often talk about degrading women, selling drugs, and living the lifestyle they choose.

Nas' Illmatic is one of hip-hop's greatest works and while it boasts about selling drugs, violence, and womanizing, it's a direct result of Nas' environment.

2Pac is one hip-hop's most outspoken artists, ever. He set the bar as he would often talk about issues in society that most wouldn't. While he would rap about making positive change, he too would often talk about violence, etc, etc.
Lastly, I'll talk about how drugs influence rap culture and how it affects the listeners.
