Final Project:Asian Misrepresentation in Flim

For my final project I have looked to the past and found that many Asians were constantly discriminated from films that would feature Asians. Even if they were to earn roles it would never be the lead role. It would almost always be a goofy sidekick, needy highschooler, or in some cases the villain. Through research and on my PowerPoint I will discuss the history of their discrimination and even though society is slowly changing there is still process to be made. Furthermore, I will also be discussing the rise of the "model minority" myth which ended up actually prevented many Asians from achieving roles in film.
