Final - Summary

For my final, I wrote an article about violence against women in sports and how today's culture contributes to it. My main point is that while sports leagues are a great platform for promoting change on certain issues, it's not doing a great job in regards to domestic violence and sexual assault, and some of that falls on the judicial system. I call on sports fans to take hold of this platform themselves in order to make professional sports league more accountable. I talk about the cases surrounding players like Ben Roethlisberger and Kobe Bryant, and refer to the works of Bethany Withers and Jackson Katz. The article is posted here on Medium.
